We recently had the immense pleasure to see Celine in the company of some of the most influential personalities in world economics and more specifically Swiss-Korean.
It was an event of incalculable importance as great meetings are often linked to great opportunities. We would like to share with you some of the memories that have shaped our President by recalling recent events between Sunday 19 and Friday, January 24, 2014:
It all started in Bern where Céline, as President of ASAMCO and invited by the Korean Embassy, attended an impressive show of the National Theater of Korea in the Auditorium Paul Klee, followed by a private dinner for Korean residents at the Hotel Bellevue Palace next to the Federal Palace.
Céline, at the crossroads of both economic and cultural sectors and as a member of the Board of SACC (Swiss-Asia Chamber of Commerce), will assume the presidency of the Switzerland-Korea Chamber of Commerce. In addition, as CEO of Amythis, she was able to participate in the Korea-Switzerland Business Forum organized by the FKI, Kotra, Economiesuisse and SACC, in honor of Her Excellency the President of South Korea, Geun- Hye PARK and her presidential entourage, the following day, Monday, January 20.
Approximately 65 top Korean industrial companies attended including; Samsung, LG Electronics, Posco, SK Hynics, Hyundai Motors, CJ, Hanhwa and Hanjin. President of the Swiss Federal Council, M. Didier Burkhalter, signed, with President Park and Sang- Jick Yoon, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy, a historic agreement that will promote bilateral trade between Switzerland and South Korea. In fact, several cooperation agreements were signed in the areas of pharmaceuticals, IT, engineering, heavy industry and textiles. The day ended with a networking meal where obviously Céline felt very much at ease.
When the Bern summit came to an end, everyone was in good spirits to leave for the Korean night in Davos : Even Psy gave us the pleasure of a surprise visit with poses for a few pictures. That evening, Celine was proud to tell us about top innovation leaders and drank a toast to the creativity of South Korea.
The Korean delegation had carefully chosen the dates for the summit in Bern, after having visited and supported its industry in New Delhi, India, another favorite place of Celine, they could continue directly to the World Economic Forum in Davos. Koreans expect results from the synergies created with a small country like Switzerland! So, all together with Celine, do everything for Korea, give them what they want!
